Since we're going to a scoring system for the spam mod, and since I can't find the original thread that discussed that, I'm starting a new one to add this suggestion. On spam words, when doing scoring, obviously you're going to have a weight for each. IE, a default score. Will that be user adjustable or will that be pre-set? And will there be a way to set certain words to automatically flag the post as spam on the first occurance? For example, word1 and word2 would have a score of 0.5 each. Two occurrences of each would give you a score of 2. But word3 would give you an automatic score of 10 out of 10 (ie, spammy post) on just one occurrence regardless of what's there.
Also, we may want to consider a "white list" of words that would either reduce the score, or completely zero it out, depending. Now I think that a "white list" was also discussed, but I don't remember.
Just some thoughts. |
